Why am i so flat chested?

i am 12 years old and haven't started my period yet, but get discharge. also i have a bit of hair down below, but none under my armpits. my chest is totally flat-these kids at school call me the surfboard-and i am really annoyed. i know what u r going to say: don't worry they will grow, but seriously it is really embarrassing. should i buy a padded bra? or does anyone have any excercises or things that will make them grow quicker???? PLEASE HELP ME!!!!!!! also i am starting junior high in september so i am worried people will make fun of me!

I know it seems like a big deal now, but it won't be in the long run. Ask your mom when she first started growing breasts and having her period - you'll likely start around the same age.

Please enjoy these times when you don't have to worry about boys oggling your chest, or underwire, or going bra shopping.

Just ignore the kids at school - they are mean-hearted and when people bully others, it means they feel bad about themselves.

Fear not, you are on your way to womanhood. You'll probably see some big changes within the next year.

Girl,watch out cause you are going bloom out all at once. Ignore those kids,you will get yours and then they won't be saying crap to you. They will want to hang out with you..That's when you remind them of your surfboard days.. Starting is not everything...I did not start until I was,17 and I grew some boobs. No the boys weren't all over me,but at least I didn't graduate pregnant like half the class did.

Yes, 17 is later than most but my best girlfriend also started at 17. I will say we were both very tiny.I was skin and bones and I ate. But, all in good time... If you want go buy a slightly padded bra... Your mom would understand and help you out!

You can not make them grow faster. If it makes you feel better a well padded bra will work. They also sell pads at Walmart in the bra section to add extra padding. You may want to stitch them in so an oops doesn't happen during gym or from too much movement. There are pads also in the baby area for mom's breast that may leak from the breast being full but these pads are not too think, mostly absorbent.

I wish you the best of the school year and one more thing I can't express enough is too do well in school and finish it.

I started right before 9th grade. Consider that a blessing. Because the only time you won't have a period after you start is when your pregnant %26amp; after menopause. Be glad you don't have that yet. I know I miss the days of not having to worry about it.

And when I was in jr high, there were alot of girls that hadn't gotten boobs yet. Its really not as big of a deal as your making it out to be. You will get them eventually. And it will always be at a different time than all your friends. Your just beginning pueberty from the sounds of it. And going through it royally sucks! You'll get eventually %26amp; just like most girls, eventually you'll hate them to. Boobs suck. Their always in the way. They hurt alot of the time. You have to buy special clothing just for them, not to mention clothing so you can excersize or do active activities, which also make them hurt more. And if you have big ones you always wonder if the guy likes you for you, or your boobs.

Be patient, it'll happen. And you'll be regreting not enjoying the time with out it all.

I remember feeling that way too. Your school-mates are probably just teasing you because they are uncomfortable with their own bodies and don't really understand what is going on! It's confusing but you really just have to wait it out and you could try getting a slightly padded bra but it might be a little obvious? I would suggest doing something else to make yourself feel good like get a really cool new hairstyle that will make all the other girls jealous! ;) Breasts aren't the most interesting thing about a girl anyway... it just seems like it now because it is kind of like the new 'accessory'!

Your twelve years old you don't need a padded bra. Don't pay attention to the idiots at school who make fun of you. They have no business talking about a twelve year old's breast to start with, so if it's bad enough to hurt you tell a teacher. People are going to tell you to wait to grow up because that's what you need to do. At your age thats what you have to do; wait. Both boys and girls have to simply wait for parts of their bodies to grow. For some reason in our society people feel that everyone should have big boobs and the people who don't should be made fun of.

I'll tell you a secret though; every girl that has breast whether big, small, or even really small, at one point was flat and had boobs at all. Think of someone you know or know of that has the kind of boobs you would like to have when you are older and realise that they were flat and without breast at some point in their life too.

sweetheart i know just how you feel, i was teased in school as well called ironing board, kids have no concept of the emotional damage that names have, but unfortunately you may very well be small busted due to genetics is your mom small or large? myself my mom is 36 c but i took after my grandmother who was small. size is not the importance do you feel good about yourself,? if not when you are old enough there are lots of options surgery, padded bras, inserts you place in your bra, until then just be a good person and people will love you.

You are just like me when I was 12. I am 14 now and my boobs have like grown out of the middle of no where. I was flat chested, had no hair under my armpits, and I still haven't started my period. I just had to wait. I know its like hard to wait.
