閳?br> i duno if its the same were u guys live!! but here, there a ~lot~ of kids going around these days like, 8 and 9 an 10, an the boys have longish razor cut hair, or side swept hair, an the gurls, its long an curled an layers. do u think its a good thing to put so much emhhasis on image at such a young age? when i was young i just got buzz cuts, an if it was long it was because it had jus grown out from my last shearing!! an i wore tshirts an shorts all the time, i never even thought of how i looked.

Yeah 8 is a pretty young age to have such a high-maintenance hair cut/style. Buzz Cuts are the best way to go when your that young. 8 Year Old dont usually take care of themselves like Teens/Adults do.

it is weird i think, i didnt even know what style was at 8, i barely even combed my hair when i was 8, let alone getting it styled!

It depends on the kid. If it is important to them , then I say yes let them. If they don't care they don't push it. Let them be themselves, help them to discover who they are inside and out (with reason of course)

Pick your battles carefully with kids....it a hair cut really worth fussing over? maybe if it is a mohawk or something. But anyway, I think it will get my point here.

well sometimes kids have older siblings and they wanna look more like them and stuff. i dont know, just a thought XD but i dont think 8 year olds should care about what they look like but i can understand 9 and 10 year olds these days.......it wasnt like that when i was a kid tho! i just had a normal hair cut and wore whatever my mom wanted me to, it wasnt until i was about 11 or 12 when i started even remotely caring.

idk, if they WANT it and not their rents making them, fine...personaly, when i was 8, i just had freakishly long hair cuz that's what i wanted....then i cut it short when i was 10
