What gets up my nose is that they claim child benefit for children in Poland and the benefits office doesn't know whether they have children or not. If I went to Poland and claimed the same I would be means tested and told to push off.

well even if they do what problem is it to you i am sure if you found out you could claim something you would do it in a second. i know i would claim for anything i am allowed too. like there are lots of tax credits people do not even apply for. so they end up losing out hundreds a year that they give to the government that they need not have given away in their wages.

Substantial numbers have also entered the UK from new Zealand. Many of them also claim benefits while looking for work, which they then send to family in the country they came from? Which they have a perfect right to do, by the way. Once the money is paid to them, it's theirs and they are free to do what they like with it.
